This story doesn't deserve to be a one-shot it deserves to be a book! You need to add more chapters to this. I want to see if Kaoru will hate Hikaru and Haruhi, then Haruhi gets troubled and leaves Hikaru back for Kaoru who still rejects her. Hikaru will open up to Kaoru who will forgive and help Hikaru and Haruhi get back together. A story with this much potential shouldn't be a one-shot. If I were you, I'd add more chapters. ( B3

I do hope you continue this fic. its outrageously interesting. haruhi is torn between the two. I absolute heart those three toegether Haruhi/Kaoru/ and Hikaru. But I do opt for Haruhi and Hikaru to be together. I was hoping they wouldn't hurt Kaoru in the process. I could absolutely see all of them growing up, but also Haruhi could see the real Hikaru, being able to grow into being more sociable, but at the same time having a check on his feelings and being more rational. Hikaru, was always in love with Haruhi from the very beginning, like Kaoru so pointed out. Kaoru is so nice and calm and I like how him and Haruhi just blend well together from having almost similar traits of rationality and just calm. You did leave ths story with a cliffhanger. Although, Hikaru and Haruhi just cant hold back their feelings any longer, and it must be stronger than anything, but I just feel sad for Kaoru in that mix. Great beginnings for a story.

I wish you would so add more to this, but I understand that it's a oneshot.

Anyway, as I happen to like Hikaru way more than his twin, I have to say that I loved reading this. I think it was an interesting detail you added that they both are wearing white. Was that because Hikaru and Kaoru's mother suspected something?

And, I'll admit, I'm not very sad for Kaoru... slightly, but not that much.
