Heh. It IS weird to refer to Simmons as Seymour. I don't know what his full name actually is, but I've been thinking of calling him Seymour Reginald Simmons, with him prefering the use of his middle name. Sidestepping cannon FTW?

This was a lovely story all around. It was nice to see Simmons not being depicted as a complete jerk, and actually taking the time to offer up comfort in a realistically caustic fashion. It was great, too, to see Sam and the other 'heroes' from the perspective of someone who played a lesser part in the grand scheme. I felt for Leo in this one, since one of the hardest things we can do is give up our illusions and our conceptions of self.

Simmon's last comeback was completely awesome, and it was a hilarious way to end the fic. Brava! *Favorites with gusto*
