Well is looks like Gabrielle didn't have to kill Ares after all to bring Xena back from her evil ways. Callisto certainly proved to be a friend, than an enemy. Poor Valesca, such a pity she wasted her time going after Gabrielle,when she should have been watching Callisto. Well at least Callisto can have a second chance at being mortal. Gabrielle has her friend back, and maybe a friend she didn't know she had. :D

Sounds like Callisto has a plan to stop Valesca, while trying to protect Gabrielle. I was plesantly surprised that Callisto protected Gabrielle from Valesca's fireball. It shows that Callisto has finally a conscious after all. Gabrielle seems to bring the best out everyone. As for as Xena is concerned, Gabrielle has made up her mind that her Xena is dead as long as Ares is alive. So we'll see how they plan to kill Ares. I bet it has Valesca involved or some devious plan to have her turn on Ares. :D

amazons please. i forget if calisto was on bad terms with gabs village but with her being a god it would be useful for her to become a protector and maybe get artemis on their side. but whatever u want to do is also of the good with me. pms

Well, it looks like Callisto still is struggling with her emotions of Xena blaming her for her parents death. No wonder the women became revengful and evil. Certainly the evil Xena made her into this monster and Ares had a play in all of this. Now that Callisto is trying to work with Gabrielle and keeping her safe from Valasca and Xena. They both can concentrate on stopping Ares, and that's not going to be an easy task at all. :D

Well we see that Xena is not going to turn from evil so easily, or at all. Callisto has a way of just turning up the heat, and partly killing Xena's army was one way to irritate her to no end. I was surprised that Xena wanted to inflict physical pain on Gabrielle, but not suprised at why she turned to evil, partly by blaming Gabrielle for leaving her. Callisto has took Gabrielle's thoughts to heart about family and Callisto's family not wanting her to kill innocents. Maybe Callisto's echoing screams was finally a release of her pain. At least at the end, as she watched over Gabrielle, her guilt made her finally realize, that's not what she wants to be. :D

interesting. i like how you're keeping calisto kinda crazy in this. i thought for a moment y not just make gabrielle a god and ** off velasca royally then i thought better of it since it would just keep up a feud type thing going while keeping her mortal will taunt her with the knowledge that she was too incompetent to kill her.

It seems Callisto still has a bit of humanity left in her. She definitely wants to keep Gabrielle alive, and away from Valesca. Even being the lesser of two evils, make Gabrielle at least side with Callisto. Now that they have met up with Xena, and she knows Gabrielle's weakness. I wonder what Xena has in mind with Callisto? Has Xena gone so far over to the dark side with Ares, that she doesn't even see Gabrielle as a threat or even being friends at all? Ah, the plot thickens. ;D

I think Gabrielle beholding to Callisto is torture enough for her. She really did need Callisto to step in, since Xena has gone the way of war with Ares. It seems that Xena was hurting after Gabrielle went off with Perdicus, but once she finds out that it's over, done with, or he's dead. I think coming around at the end is more feasible. I think it would take a lot of convincing on Gabrielle's part to show how much she cares about Xena. Callisto on the other hand is always fun to watch her tease Gabrielle, and not have her give in to Callisto's temptations. Anyway it sounds like a good start and Valesca being the ultimate naggy bad person works too. :D

Very nicely written story. Interesting premise - looking forward to more.
