Very good! You should diffidently continue on with this story, I'd love to see what happens next. I loved Spock's mind; that's what I've always imagined he'd have in there... Different hims, representing emotions, and two controlling hims, a Vulcan-half, and a Human-half, arguing.

Lovin' this fic. It's an awesome take on one of many 'what-ifs.' Great characterization, great plot.

A few things i wanted to get off my chest before i forget, though: #1, during their 14th/15th years, when they get taken by the Romulans...i don't know if it's because it was 2 in the morning, or something else, but i couldn't really follow what was happening. I got the overall progression of the arc, but...what was up with the ship they were on? Was it a hijacked Starfleet vessel? Were all the nervous/scared crewpeople more kidnapped humans? How did McCoy come to be there, exactly? Just some things that were bothering me.

#2, T'Pring. I thought it was canon that the youngsters are betrothed via their parents, and all that...even if it's not, it still kind of threw me for a loop that she and Spock were bondmates without Jim's - or anyone's - knowing. If you could maybe flesh this part out a little, give us the story on how they became bondmates, and what that means in this particular universe, it would be wonderful.

that's all i can think of, for now. Please, continue with this awesome story! <3 OH. I do hope that once Jim gets to Starfleet (THAT will be an interesting story in and of itself), he and Spock won't be estranged the whole time, up until the Narada Incident. I would love to see them working together from the beginning on thwarting Nero, and how Jim gets to be Captain in this universe. Not to mention...if Amanda still dies, how will Jim react? Surely not as callously as he did originally. I hope.
