oh very good. must admit her painting came as a bit of suprise but it makes things more interesting. his earlier aloofness and somewhat ndifference is shown as a facade with that painting being there. and then voila he appears. and then he goes and gets to look sweetly vulnerable alas it is sarah who promises anything. i wonder just what will he collect.
i really liked how afterwards he had said “I’m a bit uncertain as to how I’ve actually won against all your protests and defenses…I think I should press my advantage while I still can. And you promised…”

therefore not being fully triumphant and still vulnerable.

and now that sarah had given in, and she knows where the spire lies, what will happen next?

I just want to comment again cause I can't stop thinking about this story. And cause I love it. Your Jareth is dark, mysterious, cruel, and yet...there's something else there. I love the hints you drop that Jareth might not really know what he's doing or can help resisting Sarah, "Perhaps I should be asking if I will regret this...". You can tell he tries to write her off, but can't(Hasn't been thinking about her? Right).

Oh, and I love this line-“I think I lied before. I prefer a tractor destroying one of my carefully wrought dreams than a chair.”

I think Sarah is totally up a creek on this one, and I have no idea what's going to happen! Sure, she'll try getting the adament blade, just because she'd rather focus on that task then contemplate the huge mess she's in. Can she kill jareth? No. Can she let her father or Toby die? No. AH! I can't see a way out. And even thinking about telling Jareth what's going on...I shutter to think about his reaction to that. Please update soon!
