Love where this story is going. Characters are well-defined, and I'm interested to see where the plot's going to go. It moves at a good pace, and your word choice is very nice. Wonderful spelling and grammar, too; a huge plus!

"I kind of wanted to stick with the angry, bitter thing we had going..." I LOVED that line! Sums up every fight I've ever had with anyone. xD

If i were here i would send the screw you letter along with the remains of the yslizard to make her day. But hey, that's just me

Kinda funny how it sounded like squid was asking her on a date when he invited her to the wreck room.

And I don't see why squid was one, so late in digging and two, lied to the guys about where he was.
