MissMelysse 2009-06-30 . chapter 1Read this last night (early this morning) but was already late for bed, and didn't have a moment to leave a note.
I like this scene. I like that in this one moment, whatever else Tyler and Angie are, they are equals.
I read FarmerLiz's comment, and I have to agree that the depth of these characters is one of the attractions of the series. Not that Data isn't deep, it's just a different sort of depth. |
FarmerLiz 2009-06-30 . chapter 1One of my favorite things about this universe: both characters have issues that dog them. Data (much as I love him) doesn't have a *past*, not in the, "I've done things I'm not proud of" kind of way. His screw ups are the results of technical malfunctions -- either accidental or instigated by bad guys -- but he has nothing to reproach himself with. He grieves for Tasha, but bears no guilt in her loss. I'm rambling, and didn't really mean to digress into a character comparison because I'm way over-simplifying Data, but I just mean to say that both Angie and Ham are fully human (ah, more apologies to Data!)and well-rounded and realized in the stories.
Happy writing,
