Even though it was a sad piece with Chuck trying to deal with Bryce's death (again), there were some funny lines too that balanced it out - not willing to give up all childish things, like COD, and remembering the prickles bush.
But I absolutely loved the ending - Chuck keeping his secret and leaving no tracks!

It was short, but... good. Kinda comical in a way.
My favorite part? Along with the puppy analogy? This paragraph...
"I am so tired. Something about having the new … you know what … in my head seems to take it out of me. Won’t say it. Can’t. Casey’d kill me. Except he came to my rescue because I called. Maybe this is the start of a beautiful friendship after all … Yeah, right. Last time I suggested that I ended up in the bushes. It took me days to get all the prickles out of my skin."
It. Was. AMAZING. Made me laugh.

I don't watch Chuck. Have way too much on my plate, but I loved how this is written. You give us a look inside a mind that is going on overdrive and I love the changing of subjects and the rants...nicely written!
