I'm not only a very huge fan of iceland but even more of the band Sigur Rós! One of their songs is called "Hoppipolla", which is icelandic and means "hopping into puddles", and I'm wondering if it somehow inspred you ... ;)
Anyway, as I was reading your first chapter I although listened to the the last part of the song "Untilted 8" from Sigur Rós, well a very good combination with your story ... now I have goosebumbs ...
