A squirrel tommyknocker! The repeating structure is cool, it builds some nice suspense and it's surprisingly not tedious. I wasn't sure what was going on with the woman and dog though...

Uhh...though I've read a few S. King novels, I've never read Tommyknockers, so I'm afriad I have no idea what you're talking about. The story was funny, though.

This is really funny! I really enjoyed Tommyknockers, and this little story was just too funny, I mean, it explains a lot about the whole animals just dissapearing (excluding all the ones that were found dead that is!)

However, you should be notified that there are fifteen armor-plated, combat-trained squirrels stationed behind you with molecular transmogrification guns *laughs evilly as author is turned into acorns, then removes translator and chitters evilly while running to squirrel-companions*
