And just a note.. the self-harm part really did work well with the story, but try and give people a little warning when you do include it, because I know that reading that kind of stuff can be 'triggering'.

but that doesn't mean you shouldn't have it there, because it worked so well!

OMG that last part was so sad! I generally don't like reading about self harm, but when certain people do it (in stories, not in real life, of course) I don't mind reading about it. Strange, huh? Anyway, I do hope you plan on continuing soon. I like this story a lot!
