This was pretty good. I really liked this.

Yeah, I may have forgotten my Pit of Voles password sometime in the last, uh . . . four years? *coughs* PLEASE NOT TO MIND LACK OF LOGGED IN KKTHNX.

For starters: I like this fic! Hm. Well, actually, this may sound bad--it's more that I'm INTERESTED in this fic. It looks like this big inventive chunk added into an already big inventive world and it makes me want to read more of the other stuff I know you've done. Note to self next time I need goodfic.

Like I said, I am missing a little of the backstory here, I know--need to read more of you and Bex's Dai Li OC stuff, clearly--but I REALLY dig How and Liu's conversation. It's very clean, practical, traditional give/get between men who weren't always enemies and I really like the image of the two of them talking/nottalking through the prison bars so QUIETLY.

I like Mi-Cha (I have SUCH a love affair with Victims Who Fight Back), but as a semi-casual reader of these OCs I have trouble telling how old she is from this fic. She's very tiny and cute and serious/solemn-seeming and really hardcore for a little kid, but all that wrapped up together makes it hard for me to judge. I sort of stopped halfway through, thought, and then just assumed six or seven and finished reading from there.
