the best way for new players to make money is to kill goblins to combat lvl 10 or higher, then kill cows, bury the bones and take the cowhides. bank them, check the map for Grand Exchange and after a few hundred of cowhides banked go sell them. this will give 10k or more per 100 cowhides. then buy all the items needed for the quest.

or if you don't want to do that, fix around 10gp, buy a bucket at a general store and a pot, milk the cows, collect some grain, use the grain at the mill, top floor, run down and use the pot with the flour. then run to any nearby farm, and collect the egg from the hen's den.

as a suggestion, I would tell you to kill chickens and sell the feathers on the grand exchange. They sell for about 11 gp each, so yo ucan make a good profit along with enough money to get better stuff than the one you had. Trust me, I was in a similar situation.

Go in this order:
Kill goblins near Lumbridge store for money (5gp or more)
Use the money to buy a bucket and pot in the store.
Go milk the cows.
On the way to draynor, there is a mill. pick some grain, climb to the top of the mill, and put the grain into the hopper. Use the nearby hopper levers.
Go to the mill bottom, and click on the flour in the middle of the room.
This will fill your pot.
on the way back to lumbridge, there is a farm with chickens in the back.
Look in the coop area, and there are some eggs. pick up 1 egg, and go back to the cook. give him the ingredients, and the quest is over. If you need more help, look for pupsrus13.
