um, ive never read the book, but in the film, the first chapter - thats not the order in which things happened, and what about Raoul? apart from that, this is a good fic and i enjoyed the sad story.

You made me cry, particularly your comment at the end of Chapter 4, that it's so difficult to believe we can't cross that line and drag the person back again. One moment they're alive the next they're gone, and there's absolutely no way to bridge that gulf. It seems like there should be, but there's not, and it's devastating.

I'm sure they're together; he would never leave her to try and find her way without him.

That was good-and Denis's words to Sophia as a promise...sigh. Nice touch-thanks for a very different but interesting read!

"“I’m glad they’re finally together again, wherever they are,” he said at last."

I found this line rather curious - Denis, the pastor, not being certain WHERE Erik and Christine were once they passed from this life.

But, like him, I'm glad they're together again at last. :D

What an interesting relationship it appears that Denis and Sophia will have: she, the prickly skeptic, and he, the man of faith.

I suspect that their children - if any - will NOT be raised to believe in angels come to earth. ;D

Congrats on the cute new addition to your family! Li'l rugrats do indeed take up much time, but are well worth it. (At least until their teenage years roll around. ;D)

aww...well, that's sad...but also a bit happy...'cause Denis and Sophia...isn't that called bittersweet? so i guess this is bittersweet! anyways, great story!

Beautiful but sad. At least Christine is now in Heaven with her Angel, though. :)

Very emotional, and very well written. I love the "at last" which Christine utters. We all KNOW Erik was there waiting for her. :D

Reviewing. This chapter was extremely depressing, but it's happy in a funny way, because Chistine finally gets to see her Angel again. Updaetz plz?

Very beautiful, but so sad. It really brought tears to my eyes. I begin to understand Sophia's negativity. She loves her mother so much that she fears Christine was duped by the man who was Sophia's father, and Christine's great love is based on a lie. Your comment at the end about the gulf between life and death is so true and gives one much to dwell on.

That was hard to read...but very believable and true to the characters...thanks! I do like how Fr Denis showed compassion to Sophia...good writing! Now what?:)

His answers seem to pacify Christine until her illness took over. Her daughter has so much bitterness inside and such faded hopes. I see that he has come to help her as much as her nmother. Maybe that was her mother's wish. More please.

He caused her great distress with his unending questions about seeing Erik's face. At least she has allowed him to return. Erik's daughter is very disillutioned, and doesn't seem to have believed anything she was told by her mother, or it seems her father. Reading on.
