At first, it was kinda funny, but when I thought about it, it didn't make sense. It doesn't seem to fit his image and it makes him look like an idiot.
Based on his family house and several scenes where his brother is driven around by a personal chauffer, he comes from a rich and successful kabuki family.
Also, Alto's apt is nicely furnished and well maintained, not like a poor college boy's. This indicates that he is well-bred and cultured despite his slovenly front.

Given his traditional upbringing, traditional japanese breakfasts do not include cereal, and even middle-class japanese prefer nato and toast to a cold western meal. So for him to even consider using cereal is strange.
The 'prize' concept is also strange, because it implies that he had eaten cereal which contains a kiddie prize. I doubt that his traditional rich family would serve him that kind of cereal when he was a child.

But this is a fanfic, so you can write whatever you want.

Very funny- I can't wait to see him put it in the baked potato! (that is a reference to a TV show we have in the states where a guy put the ring in the burning hot potato).

Oh, this was good! The reference to the old war movies, the mistaken identities, the subtle dig at Kawamori's final troll, I was definitely chuckling all the way through. I'll be waiting for more!

I am excited to see this, but I hope it doesn't mean you are giving up on your other stories like longest battle, made in crazy or what too much vodka can do.
