This story is so sweet and heart-warming. Gio is as caring and lovable as always. Good job! It is short but very descriptive and detailed.

OH Alana I love this and I also feel so sad, sad because I know that's how the character Gio would have felt as he left Betty..he would never have left her completely and yet the writers have moved him to another planet as if Betty was a crush...nah she was Truelove...Henry moved miles away...Gio went ...where? but you'd think he was dead and he lives by Betty as well...badly done ABC...badly done...I think as Freddy is a character actor as he walked away at the end it was as much his disappointment as Gio's and if those writers at ABC had got any sense they would have made Betty chase after him...Gio was Betty's white knight always and you've captured that beautifully...a man not a boy in her life ..

Wow, that was your first fic?! It was awesome, I really liked it a lot! I love that Betty ran after him. And she finally realizes what a catch he is. I am really starting to feel the Getty love. I hope you decide to write some more stories!!

It was in that moment that she realised just how amazing Gio Rossi was. He was a man who confessed his heartbreak to her yet was able to absolve her of her actions that had torn him apart.

She knew in that moment that he was ‘The Guy’'.

Yay! This is the Betty we want, the one who finally realises she needs and wants Gio there. Because he always will be. Aww, just great :)

This is definitely how the episode Betty Suarez Land should have ended, and this is the guy Betty should have gone after all those months ago. Well, we know she didn't actually decide on that very afternoon that "She knew in that moment that he was ‘The Guy,'" but except for that last sentence, it still could be that she went to him to make sure he would still be her friend. It still could be that, unseen by us, they still talk as friends and that sometimes she visits him or asks for his advice. So maybe when her unfortunate (to put it kindly) relationship with Matt has played itself out, she will realize finally what she really needs and who she needs and know right where to find it. This was so sweet, Alana. Thanks for posting it and giving us all a bit of hope.

I like how you described the moment Betty came running into Gio's arms. how he embraced her and how he didn't care for the cheese when he held her in his arms. The promise in a kiss... HE'S THE GUY!
