Wow, I’m late, forgive me!

I don’t think I’ve mentioned this before but WOW the way you’ve framed every chapter with *just* that one fitting word and made all the chapters revolve around that word is just simple amazing. To someone like me who doesn’t even bother to think up titles of her own accord, it really is a big thing. I love the last chapter name. Props to you for thinking it out like that.

I *adore* how you framed the effect of Derek’s normalcy on everyone. It’s wonderfully humorous and so in-character that it really makes the reader grin with delight in recognition. I love how you included Lassiter, it really helps take away the focus from the DerekCasey dynamic which is always important because it’s a whole universe that we’re borrowing, not just two characters.

HAHA, Edwin’s “confrontation”, oh girl, you are so much a genius at these characters that it really makes the whole reading experience worthwhile. I mean they’re ALL in character, AND it helps that there is humour interspersed between the angst (which I’ve realized is pretty important since otherwise the story gets too heavy)

Oh MY GOD! I so did not expect Edwin to turn into a spokesperson for all our frustrated Dasey hopes (that have been rising and falling since FOUR seasons of UST) but it’s so AWESOME that he did. I mean, he basically pointed out everything that we have in our forums and discussions. Everything that makes up Dasey and makes us ship them like crazy even after the producer has explicitly stated “THEY SEE EACH OTHER AS SIBLINGS NOW”. I love this Dasey Manifesto thing!

Aww…cute end after the angst AND you make it work! I like how, for once, Casey doesn’t say anything but accepts which must be hard to do. And wow, Edwin must really have been charred by that spark that he lent to their gasoline fuelled UST. I love that kid. And you.

I clapped at the ending of this story, just so you know. Edwin's summary of Derek and Casey's relationship was a good ending-that took some creative thought on your end. Good job!

casey's character sounds nothing like how she really is

HAHA! For the Casey-as-a-nun image! Really, how awesome is your Casey again? I LOVE how she has these little mini-freak outs and imagines herself as a martyr to the world because it is very in character. I can imagine the show-Casey saying something like that, very easily! And you’ve hit on something I’ve been wondering recently—has Derek ever screamed at Casey on the show or stopped talking to her or anything? Because it’s always been her and so the fact that she’s freaking out so badly makes sense!
And how he’s not hijacking the bathroom because ‘she wants him to be a brother’. I think this is awesome not only because it finally brings Dasey out of its stale-mate but because it shows that Derek cares so much he’s willing to give up, for her. Because he thinks she wants him to. And that is all kinds of wonderful. Also caring!Derek makes me want to buy a teddy-bear (err…)

You know, I think you should market all these steps as a goose-chasing way to find your true love. You could call it the Derek and Casey method. :D

And I don't think that Casey could keep a vow of silence. She jabbers too much to ever be able to keep a promise like that. (See horrifically long, intentionally run-on sentences above for evidence.)
