Nice! I actually read the manga first and then watched the anime, hoping for a less heartwrenching ending. I actually thought that the anime's end was just a tad softer than the manga, as the two at least died together, and were able to hold one another at the end. He didn't disappear for eight years for some reason and then mysteriously return just as she crawled around the cathedral dying. :( I never really understood why he left in the first place; and why for so long? I just about screamed at him when he froze her instead of taking her to fly with him. She may have been older in the manga when she ran out of astral, but those eight years were empty and devoid of Chrno's light. :'( But thanks; that's definitely one of my fave parts in the manga. So emotional. I love seeing Chrno in his true form as well. Verry handsome, especially when he's showing his feelings. Touching...
