The Lady Yuki 2009-09-04 . chapter 1This is beyond amazing. I would hardly have believed it would be possible to fit so much beauty, emotion and depth into a scene that, in reality, is only about eight seconds long. This is going into my favorites for sure! |
emeralddarkness 2009-07-30 . chapter 1I really wish I could think of something to tell you other than the fact that this is lovely, but I really can't. Kraehe/RuexMytho has never been my favorite pairing of this show but I love them still, and I love Rue in all her poor shattered glory. You did an elegant job portraying everything here, and it was a wonderful little character study.

TheMadPuppy 2009-07-07 . chapter 1Oh my God! I'm so flattered you dedicated this to me! But really, you would have managed just as fine on your own, dear. Maybe a few more hours or days and it would have clicked, that I'm certain.
What's sure anyway is that two days did wonders to refresh my eyes to your fic! Now that I was purely in an enjoying mood, it's like if tons of micro details jumped to my sight, and reminded me why I find your style so refined and fantastic. About that, don't worry; this version definitely breathes it. It's contemplative, delicate, if felt embroidered with romantic dark lace, and it's expressed with such sensibility that you can feel the torment as if you were Kraehe yourself.
I know I already said it, but I find the butterfly comparison in the first paragraph pure genius. It's so organic, it gives such a vivid picture of her hands in your mind, from their flutter to the stifling hard grasp. I read that and I sense my own jaw clenching and my eyes narrowing to follow the motion written on the screen. Plus we're only in the first paragraph! What I mean is that it makes a wonderful job of attuning you to Kraehe immediatly.
And again, I adore the fact the little girl looks like a stranger to her at the beginning, but more the story progresses, more Kraehe realizes that they're still essentially the same. I also just love the revelation moment, when epiphany dawns on her, how it's so complete and immediate. It really makes you think of Cupidon's arrows in a way, how in an instant, she's irremediably and forever in love with him. And let's not forget the ending! The separation from the rest of the story body, the fact it's pronounced by the two her at the same time, further enhancing the fact that she's still the same at her core, it makes it so powerful.
But you know what's the greatest miracle? The more I read your Tutu fics, the more I like Mytho! That character was so painfully plain to me when I first saw the series, and each time I read your stuff I understand better what you found so fascinating about him.
My ultimate fav remains this sentence though: "Even if it hurts, how can she help but look?" Ahh, angsty love, Thyme writes you so well<3. |
