Three words: I love it.

That's really all I can say. Please don't think I'm weird, but I love stories like this the most. After all, dark emotions are what hit me the strongest. In this story - and others like it - I can picture the setting, the mood, the conversation. I can clearly hear the pained, tearful screams and sobs. I can see perfectly in my minds eye the look of guilt and agony written all over Ayako's face. Hopeless and broken, but strong enough to pick up the pieces and pretend she's fine - even though she's not. That's what I'll think every time I read about (or watch) Ayako from now on.

It's sad that she was given the death penalty. Usually it would be more like a life sentence.. and it wasn't completely her fault because she was drunk!

It's so sad!! It took me a little bit to understand who was being accused Masako, Mai, or Ayako.

Not to poke a hole, but what makes Eugene's death somewhat unique is that he was hit while crossing a street and then ran over again the other way.

Ayako works in a hospital; her parents are doctors. We know she drinks, but she's never really gotten herself (that we've ever seen) that drunk. I think she might have a pretty high tolerance for alcohol.

Still, it is an intriguing piece.

My god, this has to be the most depressing story in the entire GH archive. OTL ...I really love how Mai dealt with the situation, it's a lot like her.

I've wondered why Naru kept her around in the group when she never contributed to anything until like the Yoshimi case. It seems like an unreasonable thing considering Naru.

I'm not sure even in Japan that would be a death penalty trial, but I liked this story. Poor Mai, found a family, and now it is all being torn apart. I can completely see Naru reacting that way too.

I actually thought it might have been Masako at first, an alternate reason why she thought she recognized Naru, but due to age and driving laws, Ayako makes much more sense. Good job.

That's a new twist! It was good too! A little confusing but after I re-read something it all clicked. I'm glad you posted it because not many people would even think about it like that. It's unique and it's quite good!

I always felt that the murdered was deliberately ambiguous for a reason. You've pulled one of my own theories right to the front and exposed it!

WOW... i was confused the entire time trying to go back and forth who the murderer was but it was clear at the end. I thought it was an interesting story and wow I'd never expect this. Great job, you definitely build up suspense throughout and oh man I feel so bad for Bou-san. When I read it a 2nd time it all made even more sense. Great idea!! I'm glad you wrote this!
