Sorry for the late review...I think FFN hates me for some reason, but really, I never get to review on the day I receive the alert. Quite irritating if you ask me. I thought of sending you a PM like last time, but decided against it since I thought the problem would get fixed like last time. ::didn't want to annoy you::

I am hoping that Kaname wasn't calling the Espresso "battery acid"...Espresso is the new metabolic fuel for living creatures...didn't he know that? O.O No? Really...we should do something about the horrible standards of the education system in the vampire world...how can he NOT know that?

Anyway...Kaname fussing really is the best thing to read early in the morning. Hehe...adorable.

One of the things I love about this fic so far, is that you managed to keep up the suspense and excitement, although, compared to Crimson Door, Five Hundred Miles and Blood Moon, it is a relatively calmer and less action-infested plot. So far, the whole conflict is confined within the..."business" world, so to speak, and the whole truth still hasn't come out to Zero or to the reader.

However, every single update keeps me on the edge of my seat. I can't wait for the next update because of all the new developments in the plot...

The little scene with Aido and Kain made me laugh out loud like a maniac...Reminds me of myself and a friend of mine.

"Didn't I tell you to get me the handout?"
"How do you know I didn't bring it and you forgot that I brought it?"

LOLOL!

Anyway, please update soon, can't wait to read what happens next.

Well, you may feel rumpled, Zero, but the delicious way Vani painted you makes you sound positively delicious! *drools and squeals* I’m glad he’s wearing that necklace and oh my, Kaname…! *drools even more* Damn but he sounds damned good wearing black, white and silver… bet that tie reminded him of the grouchy person sitting opposite him now :D

It makes perfect sense but undeniably annoying to Zero that Kaname would always look more well groomed than him :D And be able to make him flush more often too *giggles happily* Kaname looks so very different sharply dressed and sipping his coffee now than he did much earlier with his legs in the air and naked and flushed on the dining room table, doesn’t he…

*does the choke that Kaname didn’t* Oh my, talk about Zero coming a long, long way…! *stares at him open mouthed* Did you just say…? And yay, Kaname flushed at last! Only a little but still…! *considers it a big victory for Zero*

LOL, the anti-pheromones pills sound a little like birth control pills but as usual, they made perfect sense to me! I’m glad you mentioned about them creating havoc with Zero’s body – he really is unique in that sense and of course completely lovable in not wanting Kaname to feel guilty.

It’s funny but for some reason I find Kaname’s politeness at this point so cute! I like the little hints of what Zero (and Aido of course! :D) have been doing and how Kaname has tried to help… it certainly cements the fact that a few years have now passed. Not consisting of 100% pleasant moments but overall, a realistic picture of a couple happily and deeply in love even if one is a pureblood and the other an ex-human and hunter.

*blinks and gets back to the review* Geez, Zero, I would definitely get carsick if I sit facing the opposite way (and trying to read newspapers, books, phone messages, maps, etc.)… Zero’s grouchiness and how used Kaname was to it was kinda cute though :D As was Zero knowing that Kaname was right and knowing the pureblood knew it and Kaname knowing that he was right and knowing that Zero knew it too… *stops herself before she goes around in a neverending circle*

Ooh… that gift! *does the fist pump for Zero since she has no hang-ups about appearing juvenile* I’m a yaoi fangirl for goodness’ sake… *inner KxZ fangirl does the same pump* Kaname’s pleased shock and Zero’s can’t-keep-it-inside-anymore satisfaction were both adorable!

You do NOT represent a crappy deal, Zero! *glares at him with folded arms* And your satisfaction and happiness in seeing Kaname to delighted with your gift makes you even more precious! Kaname’s delight and appreciation as well as understanding of what Zero had to struggle with were just as precious… and that kiss…! *melts in delight after helping herself to the minibar contents*

I also adored how Zero didn’t stop the kiss even though he had to be aware of the chauffer seeing an eyeful – bravo, Zero!

Oh, Diachi… and guess he has to eat his words at how Zero is still at Kaname’s side for now and not tried to betray him or anything, huh? *still holds a grudge to the older pureblood for what he said back in BM* Yes, I know he’s pretty good as far as purebloods go and all but still…

It’s nice to see that Kaname and Zero treat each other naturally in front of the pureblood’s own men but not so nice to see how those men treat Zero behind Kaname’s back *glares at them in turn* Yup, the cube goes to Zero when Kaname’s not around so you suits just back off, grr…!

Oh my, such a lovely place… *forgets her glare and gets lost in images of Kaname and Zero kissing by the beautiful fountain with the moonlight shining down on them* Ahh, that mysterious cube again… you described it beautifully, Vani and how do your think of such things?! *bangs her head on fountain bowl but quickly stops when two more gorgeous vampires enter the place*

Aw, aren’t you two boys a sight for sore eyes even being irate and irritated! *titters and tries not to stare at Kain too much* I’m not trying to annoy Ruka, honest, but I’ve been just a wee bit fixated on you, Akatsuki, ever since I started In Silence… eep! *backs away as Kain gives a glare that says ‘Make me shed just one tear in that and you’re gonna get BBQ’d’* Uhm, I’ll try my best not to… XD

LOL, the sight of Zero and Aido scowling at each other despite being good friends and having worked together on charms before is so cute! *huggles scene* Zero and Aido interaction is always fun and yes, I have to agree with Kain – it’s when they’re NOT scowling at each other that something just might be wrong!

(Oops, almost forgot this while drooling over Zero and pondering over mysterious cube but sorry you lost your reports, Aido, and sorry you’re being ranted at, Kain!)

Still, thanks for being useful to Zero and to the rest of us, Aido! *grins and ruffles his hair* Kaname’s behaviour towards him was as IC as ever, Vani… he does love the blond and wants the best for him yet he knows him so well and can’t resist pushing his buttons *giggles at Aido, the self important spy, and takes the opportunity to dig Kain in the ribs* Thank goodness Kaname cares for Aido – yeah, you stay far, far away, Seiji! *glares at him in turn*

‘It's a sunBURN that I think is just about PERMANENT now.’ *snorks, giggles and emit other mirthful sounds that could get her frozen solid* You poor thing, you… *pats his hair* But look, you have such lovely highlights now… *hides behind Kain*

Oh my… *promptly forgets about Aido’s woes, Zero’s tact and zooms in on that minor cliffie* An’swala?! Wow… *whistles and rubs hands together* Things are gonne come together very, very soon…! *glances behind her for any sign of unsuspecting pureblood* Don’t know if you’re going to be questioned or not, Kaname, but if you do, it’s thanks once again to one very loyal blond noble puppy :D

You know, I'm actually really hooked on the politics and economic aspects of this story so I loved this chapter.
Poor Zero in the limo though. I could almost feel my own stomach turning at the smell of caramelly coffee. Definitely not a nice smell when you're feeling sick.

I've spent way to much time trying to figure out where the politic plot of the story is going. Then just for variety I'll think about whether or not Kaname will lose his wager and what that would mean for him and Zero. Now I'm worrying about the focusing cube and what Zero will do now that he has an idea what it's for. I expect it will all come out at some point (please?) and I know Zero will be supportive.
Looking forward to the next chapter.

On another note, that chapter was BEAUTIFUL! Kaname is all worried and cute and sly...And then he's all happy and Zero is the sly one...Beautiful job! I loved how Zero's little "present" came through, and it made Kaname so happy. Kaname needs a few more pleasant surprises!

I love how right at the end you bring back Aido and Kain. They were refreshing and a nice change of pace. Of course, then Aido is the source of a HUGE problem. I can tell that things have just gotten much, much, worse. Poor Kaname...He's going to kill Aido.

"Hey what are you doing??!! Stop pushing me!" Trying to shove Aido out of the building.

Going completely off topic...me and my cute little reading lemon was re-reading your previous works (just for kicks) and this little lemon thought of something: Kaname and Zero are both guys, of course...but what would happen to the Kuran and Kiryu line? They can't possibly have little vampire/hunter babies...unless...nah, its not possible. What's that little lemon...cloning from a underground lab?! *skeptically looking at my giggling little wayward lemon* Ok, this lemon is watching way too many sci-fi movies. My other thoughts is this...I've been reading the manga, is there a way to add parts where the Hunter Association wanting Zero conditioned to be the next president of the association?
Or was that already added to your works??!! Hey, Zero! Pass me that cube-thingy, I want to jog my memory bank. ^_^

You know I always enjoy when you add some of their over the years memories like Zero getting sick when he trys out new charms and Kaname there rubbing his back when he sick. That just makes me love them all the more. Those are the kinds of touchs that makes you a wonderful writter:) Once again another amazing chapter ^_^

Hurray for the update! I actually checked my emails specifically to see if FF had sent me an any email updates! I was so excited when I saw yours has been updated as I've been in desperate need of my fix. *I'm a BW junkie, what can I say...* hehe

I love how Kaname convinced Zero to move over next to him in the limo. So cute that Zero is so amazingly stubborn after so many years together and Kaname knows how just how to get him to relax. It reinforces just how perfect (in their own special way) of a couple they are in your writings.

So you really opened the floodgates will all the hints on the mutant plague that I'm sure is somehow related to Yuki's illness. Aido needs to spill the beans on everything he worked on and saw cause it's probably the most puzzle piece that Kaname currently can get his hands on. I wonder if his missing paperwork has to do with something important/dangerous that he discovered. Who stole it all! Does that mean there's a mole somewhere between Sato-sama's place and Kaname's where Aido's stuff could be sorted through? Hm. *twitches nervously and tries to repress the realization that she needs to wait patiently to read it from your future updates*

I wonder what Kaname is trying to remember from his previous encounter with the antagonist vampire besides the obvious rapes and humiliation. Did he find out some secrets from him in the long-ago past or is he just trying to be mentally prepared in case the violations to his body are forced upon him yet again? *tries to pretend the last sentence didn't actually make her WANT to see Kaname lose the battle, haha* (looks to the title of this story questioningly for answers)

Thank you for updating! *dance and jumps around the room squealing* you totally made my day! Woot!*sighs* I know you must get tired of people i.e. me; telling you what an amazing author you are...but you REALLY are. Your stories; especially CD, BM and now SitD are so beyond incredible to read. I’m falling more and more in love with SitD as the chapters go on; I think it has to do with how much back-story we now have thanks to your previous stories, also I think I just adore the way both Zero and Kaname know they love each other more than anything. Plus I have been looking forward to this story ever since I read you were going to write it : ) that and the way that Kaname is so hurt, ashamed and plain in trouble and now it’s Zero’s turn to fix and look after Kaname...I love it *hugs them and the author for her wonderful brain*. Anyways...*cough* maybe I should just review now huh? hahaha.

This chapter is yet another wondrous triumph! *laughs at expanding vocab* seriously though, it was awesome. I’ve already read it twice *blushes and hides*. The limo ride was so fun to read; I have NO idea how you do it, but you somehow manage to make even the most mundane, ordinary (yes, because we ALL take limo rides to work, haha) moments so lovely to read. Kaname’s concern for Zero was sweet and lovely as always *hugs him* I loved the detail that you put into everything (as usual) but just talking about the latte that Kaname was drinking and how when he offered it to Zero, you also managed to show their knowledge about each other; how Zero normally drinks ‘battery acid’ *chortles* it’s so couple-y and lovely to read. The way you explained Zero’s illness was again awesome; the detail you put into everything and the explanations are logical and seem realistic *loves it*. Ok, this IS my FAVOURITE line in the entire chapter and one of the best things I’ve ever heard Zero say "I can't help it that you're so much fun to fuck." *bursts out laughing and falls off chair* you have GOT to make Zero say things like that more often, hahaha. When I read that line, I actually had to re-read it to make sure that I wasn’t imagining things; then when I did I was like ‘oh my god, did he just say that?’ it was SO good! About time Zero gave as good as he got! I don’t even know why I found it so funny *shakes head at herself* it was just so not like him, and to say it to KANAME? Haha. I also adored that Kaname actually smirked at it, perfect reaction, well done BW! *cheers*.

As always, I absolutely adore their banter, it’s so fun to read. I also loved that Kaname knew exactly HOW to get Zero to sit next to him and make him feel better. YAY! Zero’s present worked out! I was so happy and bouncy when I was reading this! I was SO proud of Zero and SO happy for Kaname. I loved how grateful and surprised Kaname was; it was adorable, thank you BW for giving them a slight break! It was so nice to see Zero give Kaname something he appreciated so much. Haha I love how you mentioned Zero thinking the meeting was like school; I guess it would be to him, he needs to be able to move and feel engaged I guess. Wow, it was lucky Zero found that cube! I’m not sure how it works, but I don’t think Kaname would have been too pleased. *laughs* I love that Zero knows how to get back at these guys now “he’s meeting me for lunch so *pokes out tongue*”. When Zero was looking at the cube I found myself getting a bit agitated for him; I kept thinking that if this was a way to focus repressed memories, what if Zero looked into it and saw something he’d repressed from the night his parents died (didn’t know how it worked at the time).

YES! I was beyond happy when Kain and Aido came into the story! And they came in arguing! *chortles* very stylish entrance. I’m SO hoping that we see more of these charcters throughout this fic; especially Aido, because he and Zero together are epically funny. It was weirdly good to see Kain something other than his normal stoic and quiet self; he never said much in your other fics so it was nice...I guess Aido just brings it out in people, haha. I loved the interaction between the three of them; they really seem like friends, and it was so nice to see that, especially with Aido and Zero, who are two of my favourites to watch together (so opposite of each other). Kaname pimped Aido out? Wow. I adored that Zero tried to talk Kaname out of it for Adio’s sake *hugs Zero tightly* and how Kaname confessed that it wasn’t JUST for his benefit; I also loved that you wrote about how Kaname was actually very protective of Aido and made the deal with Diachi. It makes sense for Kaname to feel protective over him; he’s kind of like a child in a way, does that make any sense at all? (can’t explain it, haha). To me Aido and Takuma are the ones that Kaname should care for the most; because of everything they’ve done for BOTH Kaname and Zero.

Oh!! Finally we learnt about the cube! I love how in-depth you went while explaining it; once again you made it seem logical and realistic, I found myself wondering why I didn’t have one, LOL. I hope that Zero investigates this with Kaname, talks to him about it and MAYBE get some truthful answers out of him? *hopeful look*. It was so cute to see Zero trying to comfort Aido; I love that they’re friends, and it seems that Aido is closer to Zero than all of them, random, yet completely awesome! I love how you’ve defined each and every character in this fic; you make the readers feel like they know them. *bursts out laughing* Aido’s sunburn! Hahaha, poor thing! I wonder what they were all doing over there *ponders* I thought of Yuuki with the whole mutant disease thing; maybe that’s what he’s on the phone to Kaname about? Agh! Don’t get me started on Yuuki and all the trouble she’s still managing to cause our boys from beyond the grave *grumbles and scowls at her*. I’m wondering why out of ALL the reports that could have gone missing, only a certain amount did...hm. Poor Aido though; I know how much it sucks when you put SO much work into something and it disappears. I know you said that this ended on a cliffie but...*is feeling very stupid at the moment* I wasn’t sure what was so horrible about it? I mean sure, I know that it relates to everything that’s going on and I now have a million MORE questions but...something bad isn’t about to happen is it? *fidgets*.
