Dear, sweet James T. Kirk--he's about to get whacked, so of course he insults the guy right before he receives those strokes. Maybe he'll realize that he's not as smart as he thinks he is...nah.

OH...MY...GOD! That was by far the greatest story EVER!! Sneaky sneaky people!! I love this story!! Such a turn around of events! I was not expecting that at all!! Absolutely amazingly brilliant!

Just saw the movie, so now I can read this ;D. I loved the idea of McCoy being willing to take a caning because Kirk needed it. I think this new Kirk is going to need lots of 'attention' from his first officer... I hope you decide to write some of those stories!

Loved it, Perry :-) This line was especially amusing: "After destroying the man’s car and getting the worst licking of his life, Kirk had learned to steal other people’s cars and keep his hands off his stepfather’s items."

I adored the new Star Trek and was pumped to see that you'd written something in this universe :-)

This was really great:-) I've been waiting to read a story where both Kirk and Bones have to answer for there decisions during the film and this was perfect.


And opens up so many possibilities:

1.Kirk finds out that Bones punishment was mostly for show and gets his revenge.

2.Spock must realize that he's left himself open to the same treatment should he mess up.

3.Spock and Bones try to take Jim to task for some miss adventure after he's become captain.

4.And this line alone opens up so many doors. Especially if Pike has recovered enough to deal with Kirk himself. “That is not behaviour befitting Starfleet, and if I ever see you acting so arrogantly again, you and I will have a very personal discussion about it.”

One thing that stood out for me when watching the film was just how bratty they all were. Maybe it was due to how young they were but even Spock came across as bratty to me. A bratty Vulcan, who would have thought it:-)

Oh my,but I do LOVE this story! It makes me so happy, and you've captured the characters so well - and those canings really were well deserved! ...I wonder, since you've hinted at it, if you were planning on a second chapter about Spock getting caned? Please?!

Man heck yeah! All of the characterizations were spot on- right down to Bones actually volunteering to take a similar punishment just to keep Kirk in line.. just well done!

I absolutely loved this, I've been waiting for someone to write a story like this where darling Jim finally has to pay the piper for his little "adventure." I loved Bones and Spock coming to an understanding/alliance at the end and I really hope you write more in this nuTrek universe, anything you turn your formidable skills to comes out awesome and this was no exception.
