I normally don't like the "Daniel's been turned into a kid" fics because it's normally just an opportunity for Jack to play more of a protective role and become a father figure. Here there was still concentration on Sam & Janet as well as there being dramatic tension around Daniel's transformation as opposed to it being played for laughs. Jack was more friend and protector but there was also awkward memories of Charlie dug up by the events which writers still to often ignore. And Daniel wasn't made to be totally stupid by his actions activating the object as he was given it to examine and it was a local tradition. Liked this a lot.

You know, if Daniel's glasses are meant to help him not touch things...he needs a new perscription! This was well done, and finished in typical Daniel fashion.

Great story! You were much more charitable to the people of the planet than I would have been. OK, I guess it was the right thing to do. Nice to see Daniel a grownup and in one piece!

Oh, great chapter. Very vivid and very exciting. I can still feel the storm. And I like how you have Sam coming to the rescue (Go, Sam!), but at the same time you make us feel how hard it it to take a life.

Hi Cheryl, Great story. I've just read through all six chapters and I am impressed. I am also a huge Danny fan and an Aussie. Anyway I think your story is really good and I hope to read more of it sooner rather than later - hint, hint. I like your style. I prefer to keep my stories as true to the TV series as possible too. Gee I miss the TV series - sigh.
