Wait...I'm confused.

I thought Watanuki was a descendent of Clow Reed and not actually Clow Reed because Watanuki shares his existence with Syaoran (what was one is now two) and thus is unrelated except by blood to Clow Reed and that Clow Reed was Clow Country's Sakura's (the clone?) father (which is when he left CCS's world) until his death because of the wish of the clone's son Syaoran who made the wish for time to go back and caused the existence of Watanuki? (CLAMP! you are so ** evil with your mind **ery!)

And his whole waiting thing is for Yuuko to be reborn?

I'm really enjoying this story so far. Everything is quick and to the point. The time-travel/dimension twisting talk can be very confusing (I still don't entirely understand the clones in the manga!) but you kept it simple and explained it clearly through the characters' conversations (Watanuki and Kamui). And how you worked in/explained the Sakura Cards! Very well done. I can tell you put a lot of thought and effort into this story, and are careful with your writing. I really look forward to seeing more!
