OMG! I first read your commentary on Amok Time and loved it and became ecstatic when I found you did the same for Search for Spock! I, naturally, quickly started the movie to watch while reading your insights and you're SO right! I noticed that the alarm for 'Spock's' quarters turned off the second Kirk crossed the threshold (And I don't think the computer could know that Kirk was the current captain of the ship, maybe it was keyed into him being one of the inhabitants, eh? :P ) I LOVED the Sleeping Beauty comparison lol and you have made the last sceen in this movie just that much more special to me !! :D THANK YOU!

One thing I'd like to add. After the ceremony Sarek told Spock that his friend came back for him. And I think Spock didn't know which one of the Enterprise's crew Sarek was talking about. So when he walks past them he also tries to figure out who is this friend who saved him. And when he finally sees Jim, he realizes that HE is. And it's also much like in fairy-tales, when a person must recognize his or her beloved to save him/her.

Love this movie, it's the most romantic story I've ever seen.
