Nice. A lovely look at the Doctor's thoughts during the final moments of this intense episode. Very vivid and in character.

Midnight is probably my favourite episode too. I love the psychology behind it, and how everyone just goes INSANE with the mob logic and paranoia. Very clever by RTD

Great story, even though I havn't seen the episode because of no darn internet! Hope it's not as scary as Blink, cause that was freaky! Loved it.

Other than Blink, Midnight is probably the scariest episode of the revived DW, but it's also one of the most interesting as it offers a pretty decent example of the complete irrationality that runs rampant in mass hysteria situations. More, it always seemed to me that the Doctor thought a bit too highly of humans—assuming the passengers were indeed humans and not simply humanoid—because he always appeared to expect the absolute best from every one he met. Sure, he has had reason to have faith in humans, having spent so much time around them, but until Midnight that faith seemed unshakable and colored the human race a bit rosier than was true.

So the episode really gave him a nasty, gritty wake-up call, and I think you captured that quite well here.

They need--they really do--need to make an episode now and then that's just pure fun fluff. It's gotten so near 100% dark that you'd think DC comics had bought out Doctor Who.

Donna...what they did there was just criminal. She lost the love of her life...and then her mental life? First female character I was starting to care about and they treated Adric better at the end than they did her.

Oh, I love angst..but angst without some sprinkling of humor every few episodes gets too heavy. I hope season 5 lightens up some more like with the Agatha Christie one.

This is really well wrote, and love how you go through all the emotions with him and how he felt that these humans he couldn't trust after they had almost killed him. Pleas say there is more... Donna must be worried about him...
