That's not exactly a narrow field. At all. Actually, it's impossibly huge. But assuming they come from the same place, and more importantly, going off what you've used so far, I'll take a few stabs at it.

When I first saw that- before it was fully processed- I thought you meant it was a magical girl who was ALSO technically a variation of a bad guy, and I immediately thought you would choose Raven from Teen Titans.

You use an interesting initial plot device for this fic, canon Ranma replacing himself in an alternate universe, which I have only seen used a handful of times before (Going by what I've read, not timestamps).

A couple of issues though, for if/when you rewrite this - in chapter 1, Ranma comments about being cursed (seemingly as if he wasn't before), when he should really be saying that he's STILL cursed (since it's canon Ranma, who's used to the curse). Also, in chapter 5, Ranma-chan 'heats her clothes' to revert to male form, which seems extremely contrived - there's no basis for that. If Ramna must revert at that point, grabbing a conviently placed teapot (while still kind of contrived), would be much more appropriate, IMO. Then there's Happosai - IMO, he should recognize Ranma using Anything Goes, or at the very least, the name Saotome when Ranma identifies himself - since he comments on his 'worthless students' Saotome and Tendo.

For the rest of the story, it really seems to move far too quickly - while I tend not to read too deeply into things, it really seems that antagonists are being thrown around with no rhyme or reason, while possibly significant events are being pretty much forgotten.

Also, I'd suggest spending more time exploring the AU characters - they seems to be really sparse.

I heartily appalaud the lack of movement towards an Akane pairing, which I dislike intensely. I'd suggest a Ranko pairing, if there is going to be a pairing.

Overall, I'd give this a 6.5/10 or so - interesting concept, marred by flawed execution. I would like to see a rewrite of this sometime, however.

After reading your pther great crossover, I thought to read over stories of yours. And I say that this story is really, really good too. Hope that you can continue this story and the other one (I really like the other one).

A girl with magic powers and a guy who's evil but really good? Yanno, that doesn't exactly help a lot. There's bunches of animes that have those dynamics. Inuyasha, Chrono Crusade, etc. And I like the hints of Naruto techniques. Wonder if Ranma can pull off the kage bunshin no jutsu...
