I can't even express how much I loved this one. It was sad, but still sweet.

He couldn’t answer for the strange tightness in his throat. He felt her small, delicate hand grasp his. He thought that he hadn’t felt anything so good in a long time. The warmth of her, the softness of her skin.

Probably the closest he’d ever get to any sort of Heaven. In this life or the next.

Aw! It was sad, but it was the right tone for the piece. I loved the moment when he heard about her injury on the tv. Just because you don't see it, doesn't mean its not there. So true, and beautifully written. Sigh. You're my favorite :)

Wow, that was depressing. I loved it. Does that make me messed up? That I love the depressing fics? Especially if they are done well, like this one. I can actually see this as a possibility, Jane ending up in prison and only coming to see him when he does something stupid, or Jane not wanting to see the team at all.

Anyway, I love this one. I'm glad you keep getting attacked with plot bunnies, and that you keep writing them. This is really really good.
