Oh... Kill me too, why don't you?! This is a very hard read for me. But that's because it's so very realistic. I am curious to know what happened to him, but that's beside the point. The descriptions of everyone's thoughts, actions, and emotions are right on. Your words have brought the readers right into the setting and made them feel the same feelings as the characters. Excellent writing! And the fact that Catherine can find hope all around her even in the face of something so tragic gives the rest of us hope as well. Bravo! (but don't ever do this again! LOL!)

OMG I need the tissue... This was really hard to read once it became clear that it was Nick's funeral. Catherine's eulogy was just heart-wrenching, and I love that it was Brass that read it for her when she couldn't. This was really beautifully written and despite how sad it was, the end gives us a reminder of how many people Nick touched during his life, and gives us a sense that his hope will live on. Great work!

Sad, yes but so beautiful at the same time. Nick didn't die in vain.
I like the fact that you don't bring up the reason to why he died, becuase it's not important at this point. Also loved the way you managed to get all of the team in there, coroners, labrats CSIs and the way you described their respective grief. I hope this scenario never will take place because I don't think I'd be able to take it - I'd hide my face in my hands and sob my little heart out :-(

Wow. Phenomenal, absolutely phenomenal. This was very difficult to read because I kept choking up. Beautifully written and so inspiring. Nick is an underrated character and examining what his loss would mean is an amazing way to point out what the character means in the development of the relationship between ALL the characters. Not one of them has not been touched by, or influenced by, the type of character that Nick Stokes has been. As you so clearly show us. Thank you for a sad, but splendid story.

I reviewed your story over on CSIfiles site, but let me say once again...this story was PHENOMENAL! Obviously the story is heart wrenching, but it's also sad-sweet, and the writing is fantastic. It was definitely a two kleenex read for me.
