Whew, when I read in the second last paragraph "all the people who died" and then "Dick, barbara..." I thought you meant that all of the listed people died not that they had all suffered as they do in the comics until I read the last paragraph. Now I feel nice and warm inside!)

I love this story. I love everything about this story. I love the Christmases at different points in Bruce's life, I LOVE how he and Dick interacted I truly believe Dick saved Bruce. I love the father/aon relationship, I love that Alfred gently rolls his eyes at 'chum,' I love how the NML's Chirstmas starts out bleak and then ends with him remembering just last Christmas, and Tim and Dick and Alfred and and Dick Grayson's son sliding down banisters in Wayne Manor. There's something gleeful and satisfying in that idea.

So, yeah. It was fantastic. I loved it.
