Lovely, you have just proven, that when one is gifted, the lenght of the story does nto affect the impact on the reader.

Great story! OK I get that it's Legolas (?) but I can't figure out who the girl is, or where or when it takes place... But then I usually have to be hit over the head with the plot before I get it... I enjoyed reading it very much though! :)

Such nice imagery! Most of the Legolas stories I read are about a much younger version of him. A really neat perspective!

That was a very moving story. Really different, too. Portraying Legolas as an old man is really subtle, too. I guess the sea-longing and his grief would make him feel old, and he appears as such to the girl (just in terms that she could understand)...wow. This is really good. And you're certainly not a bad writer, if this is the kind of work you do. Remember that people can see different interpretations in a single story, and this is one that can be taken many ways. Nice job.
