Mew would rarely be portrayed as a male to me considering from after watching some of the Pokemon Movies, especially "Pokemon: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew."

Also, just in my opinion, I thought of Azelf to be a guy, Mesprit a girl, and Uxie works fine for either gender to me, but this is MY opinion though. You do what you want in your stories.
