Well, I've never watched this show but the summary sounded interesting so I thought I'd take a look, and I really liked it). I could imagine them well from the descriptions you gave and I loved that the being guilty could also refer to his behavior in general, like making the coffee stain. Also loved the glimpse of real seriousness.
