| uzaaya 2/3/13 . chapter 3 I really like the story so far. You've done a pretty good job at keeping them in character and pretty much error-free, for the most part. However, one small detail did bother me quite a bit: "But since recently, I decided that I shouldn't be afraid or upset about riding the bus because of some stupid tree." As someone who absolutely loves Flipped (and Julia's character), I just can't imagine her suddenly having a change of heart like that. Her dedication and appreciation for that tree was one of the qualities that I loved most about her character, so her suddenly deciding that it's just "some stupid tree" just because her childhood crush planted a new one in her front yard...it isn't very believable, in my eyes. HOWEVER, it is just one small detail and I didn't mean to sound very nitpicky about it, but I just felt like I should mention it, anyway. |
