and this was a cute story

A lot of people cannot understand how much this pairing has gone through. For Sakura, it started from plain old fangirling, until it evolved to love. For Sasuke, it had been from annoyance, to acceptance, and quitepossiblymaybe — love as well.

I love how you showed that transition in your story. We all think that Sakura will always always always be ready to welcome Sasuke back with open arms, but that's kinda asking too much. I do hope that Sasuke opens his eyes (and heart) and realize that happinesswas just in front of him the whole time.

I applaud you for such a well written fic. :)

Yes...people die from hypothermia if not treated properly. More like the body is not able to maintain the temperature required for blood to keep functioning. The body metabolism, which functions normally at above 96-98 degree Celsius. Undressing only is inadvisable, as body heat is lost faster that way. If I am correct, then the sitting-naked-beside-each-other thing is so that the body heat isn't lost, the friction and the general transfer keeps body warm. Ofc, in absence of anything to cover, this method is as useless and idiotic as trying to dry off sweat in sun.

But enough with the science lesson. I really really liked this one...*sigh* if only sasuke was this sane in canon. :(

Just for the record, it's actually really easy to die from hypothermia, depending on your stage. What you described in your story sounds more like a stage 2 hypothermia and if you can get warm soon enough, you won't die from it. That being said, hypothermia can escalate to deathly levels quite quickly if not treated. Your description on how to treat it was perfect! BODY HEAT! It really is the best and warmest way! Also really great for the plot of this story ;)

I've got to say that it's hard as all hell to try and decide which of your stories are my favourite. Honestly, as a writer, you add something different to this whole realm.

Your writing style is absolutely and utterly beautiful.

You're able to say things in such little words; such succinct phrases. You make these stories alive and realistic... which many authors are unable to do. I adore this story the most because despite the painful angst and that Sakura is truly -dying-, there's a soft, soft calm. A quiet hope.

I've always absolutely loved the rejuvenation of Sasuke as a character since he was so broken, but most of all, Sakura being the catalyst for this rejuvenation.

"If we were twelve again." He stopped walking, and she had to stop too; he had her around his finger—always holding her back, always keeping her with him—"If we were twelve again, you'd go on about how we were perfect for each other and how much you loved me." And, uh, I absolutely love that. Not only because I can relate to that... but because it sounds, once again, so damn realistic.

So. I love this. And I love you.
