This installment may not be as action-packed as the previous one, but every good story needs a denouement.

That said, the final battle was, in a word, phenomenal. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time reading. The air combat and tank/Elemental battles were particularly enjoyable, especially to read it on such a large scale.

Felisanna's little stunt was a real surprise, too, as was her meeting with Kell. The emotional aspect of her new ability is a good touch.

Exquisite. Not much more to say than that.

Very nice. Kuritans are smartasses but to acknowledge the help of mercenaries is nice of them. I guess the integrity of Draconis Combine is much more important than who saves it.

And I just started wondering if you abandoned Cavell Malthus. I guess you haven't.
