This take actually makes one kind of sympathetic to Hyacinth. Other than your taking about the past and writing present tense the story was great.

I always wondered how those two managed to get togeather. Richard always seemed like a low maintance sort of guy. Not the type of person to want someone like Hyacinth on the show. Also explains her attitude towards her sisters Rose and Daisy.

I just found out that this kind of fanfiction exists, I'm rather impressed with this short take on her past. Such an odd thought to think of her as a waitress.

I was just looking fics of the series and was quite happy to find this. It's a great way to show, what happened - I've always wondered how she happened to turn into what she is and this is a good point, this could maybe even be true :D

Aww, I so love Richard...

I've never read a fic about this show before, but it's really rater cute, the way Richard falls in love with her. Of course the last bit makes it seem quite sad :)
