My emotions concerning this chapter are hard to explain. First of all, I'd like to say thank you for posting this. The collection as a whole and this chapter especially.

A friend of mine has been mocked all of her life for being a lesbian under the pretense that being gay makes you promiscuous and renders you unable to experience true love "like a man/woman couple would".

I wholeheartedly disagree. And, as silly as reading this and feeling such deep-struck respect is, love can be achieved in all forms between anyone. Man or woman and combinations of the two.

Reading something which involves the actual pull-your-heartstrings love between Kirk and Spock, or any other frequented slash pairing, gets me all teary sometimes.

I guess it's just nice being reminded that others share the sentiment.

Apologies for the long review.
