Mm, okay, well, as much more has been revealed about Snape these past few years, you were obviously at a disadvantage when writing this. At least, in terms of understanding JKR's Snape (his motivations, fears, inner turmoil, etc.). However, even back then, you picked up on some insightful points."If I am all that they have to fear, then they've lived a tragically sheltered existence. Oh, yes. This must have been a very prominent thought for Snape. Imagine a man with such dark experiences (and not just that of killing) spending his days trying to teach twittering, innocent, naive children. The idiotic happiness he was surrounded with day and night must have been sheer torture. I rather think a great deal of his sarcasm was cultivated after he joined Hogwarts staff. He was never meant to be a teacher, I don't think."The fate of the wizarding world lies in the boy's hands. How truly terrifying that thought must have been! A tiny, brash, foolhardy child with such a burden scary thought indeed. Good job getting into the Potion Master's head!

Now THAT was a good fic! Really! It was brilliant! Girl, you have a true gift of writing, I'm getting jealous. Oh yes. That was really good.

I haven't seen many Snape fics, so good for you. I like that the paragraphs run together. Good story.

Very thoughtfully done. It might be a little easier to read if you reformatted so that there are lines between paragraphs. Or you could keep it that way for the sake of showing all of the thoughts clumped together, the darkness of the print emphasising the darkness of his brooding.)
