Awww, I loved the ending. You're right, it would have worked with a nice, slow, soft sex scene, but you captured all the love and intimacy without going all the way. From time to time, it's nice to feel their connection without it turning into something else.

It's good that Bella told Edward to leave, that she needed some space to think. Sucks that the next day was sunny and she got the wrong idea when neither Edward nor Alice showed up for school. Poor girl.

ALso, I can't think of a worse item to throw at someone than pinecones! They're so lightweight, they wouldn't do a damn thing even if her target was destructable...unless they haven't opened up yet? Hmmm... LOL! But great scene, probably even more so because she was launching pinecones.

Glad she has finally said her piece. Not good to keep all that inside, especially when she was still so utterly confused about everything. This line was great - I can't think with you sparkling at me. hehehehe

Now that Edward knows exactly what's going on inside her head, he should be able to make things a bit better...if he'll open up for once and stop playing judge, jury, and executioner.

Edward reacted in the usual way. Swearing, self-flagellation, shaking his fists at the heavens – why, God, why – you know how he gets.

Haha! What an excellent line...and it sums up his personl guilty trips quite nicely.

I love the way you went about clearing up that Edward did, in fact, lie when he left. In all fics and NM itself, it's always him saying he lied; he didn't mean it. So to take the different direction of her asking him to say his hurtful words again and him not being able to do it is very interesting. Good job for thinking outside the box a bit.

I've read a lot of NM AUs because it's my favorite fic sub-genre, so I'm really looking forward to this! It's already a different take than I've read before; that being that he comes back just a few months after he left and he's pissed that she didn't keep her word (which she only gave in a moment of weakness). I don't think he's got a leg to stand on if that's the case. Let's see...

I like the way this story ended. I was a little unsure of the story at first- so much angst. But I do like how both Edward and Bella fully spoke their minds.
