Very well written--excellent mood piece. It's clear that she's the only one reacting to Snape's death (perhaps there's even a frisson of guilt for walking away and letting him die, you never know). But of course the concern of the others is only for the living--I'm surprised that they aren't objecting to Snape having a portrait at all (after all, Rowling said he didn't have one till Harry made a fuss).
