There is just so, so much I love about this! From beginning to end, it's the perfect post-ep for an episode that hasn't quite aired yet, heh.
You nailed Calleigh's character here. I can so easily see her showing up at Eric's place, and without any prelude, just being all "You could've called me." I would definitely expect her to be upset about that, even more so because it *was* Natalia that he called.

And who doesn't love (even if secretly, heh) Eric taking care of hurt Calleigh? Aw. I especially love this"If Eric knew she’d been roughed up by a couple of guys with guns, he would likely be at MDPD in ten minutes earning himself a charge for police brutality. because we know it's so true.
This got a huge "aww" from me“I keep looking for things in the wrong places.”...“I look for the sugar in a canister by the stove…and it’s not there. I have this moment of panic, thinking something’s wrong, that this is happening again and I’m not remembering correctly…and then I realize that I’m remembering your house. I’m just so used to staying with you. So cute.
Eric and Calleigh cuddling together in bed is always a perfect ending to any story. This was perfect! More pre-ep post-ep fics please, lol!)

I'm so glad you decided to write it. It was wonderful, and realistic, and sad, and happy, and hopeful, and I could just keep on going. You just capture me in and I love that you stay so true to the characters. Love your writing (I am in fact waiting for "The Panic Room" updates)and hope to keep reading new things from you. This one definitely goes in my fave list).

I can't find any spoilers! And it's killing me! If you can't or don't want to, that's cool. But honestly this was a really great story and if this doesn't happen in the show, I might just cry! I loved that you made the ending optimistic! I am not a fan of the season 8 spoilers so far and this is a realistic and hopeful version of how the second ep could end...if the writers are that kind to us. But you managed to temper the angst here with some vulnerability and hope, so great job with this one-shot!

OH, the angst! It was delicious!
I loved Calleigh going through the beginning, 'finally realizing the no fraternization rule' and having her so open to him after she started bleeding and he was fixing her up. Calleigh and vulnerable is hard, and you did it perfectly.
And, I loved this "surprised by the ease with which such difficult words fell from her lips." Just... in a nutshell, shows how she is so comfortable and familiar with him.

I am literally melthing in how much I loved this. jsdhksdfh
