Even though it's about Ski Free, this story did touch me on a small level. There's just something so utterly depressing about not being able to beat a game.

If you beat the snowman you just start over at the top again...i actually tried it-i got the -counter to hit 0 and found myself back at the top. :(

But I liked this, it was a cute fic...

Aww, this was sad. I feel sorry for the little dude - it never ends. And that damned snowman always eats you, never anyone else. That bugged me the most. Poor Ske Free dude *sniff*

I managed to get past the snowman once on the way down, but another came and ate me. I couldn't get past the second one. DARN SNOWMAN!

you know i actually got passed the abominal snow monster (really about 50) i went so fast (i went really really fast with a secret code i found...that no one can figure out but me)that i passed a million little abominals i guess i beat it in principal

You know something? I doubt that none of us will ever beat Skifree. It's just something the creator made to give us those fun few minutes, then finish it all with the monster. We think there's a way to get past the monster, giving us false hope. I feel for you too, man...

Yeah, so normally I stick to the Pokemon section, but I'm avoiding writing and essay so I thought I'd tour around a little.

I picked this section because I remember spending countless hours in grade 8 playing this game. I HATE THAT SNOWMAN! It's impossible.

Then I read your fic and realised that the game designer is a very sick person. Why invent a game no one can ever win?

I found this fic funny and sad at the same time. You've really captured the angst of the skier as well as the angst of the people who get sucked into this pointless time filler. Kind of like solitaire, but that you win once in a while. I did see the link to depression here. A lot of people feel like that in their lives. No matter which way they go they can't win. Wow, who knew that a computer game could contain life lessons in empathy.

Hahaha! Great! What you should try next time is this: If you can, stop right before you go past the snowman. Then, turn left, or right, and go ing that derection for a little bit then start going down again! This worked for me! For about 10 seconds, then I got eaten.
