Oh my... I love Poppy in this story. She's underestimated, I think. I have always thought that she, perhaps, knows Severus more than even Dumbledore feels he might. She's known him as a child, tending to his cuts and bruises. I like to think that, as a student, there might have been other times in which, in the deepest dark of the night, he lay his confessions at Poppy's feet.

It was with great pleasure that I devoured your latest offering,a wonderful,if,unusually short piece,which i thoughroughly enjoyed.Your Severus stories,I find are among the most enjoyable and I wish you well with your most recent book,and look forward to more of your fanfiction ,and hopefully a conclusion to the "the darkest hour".

Ah, more Snape goodness! My dear friend Logos, it is so good to see you jumping back into the delightful fanfiction fray! I so missed it! More when you can please!

It would be nice if someone had cared--Dumbledore appears to care only so that Snape can continue to sacrifice himself for those who despise him. After all, he's worried, but not enough to change the plans that are killing his pawn. Poppy? Here's hoping she continues to help support Headmaster Snape (and of course, it would be Wrong for her to sedate the Carrows into a coma, purely in the interests of medicine ).

But Snape will probably still die in the Shack alone, unfortunately, since she'll be too busy in the Hospital Wing to help him.

I loved this! I think you're a brilliant writer, I truly do. The way you made Snape so vulnerable is, at least, breathtaking!
And it definately gave me another insight at how he may have felt when he had to kill Dumbledore, do continue writing, you have a wonderful gift.

P.S: Snape will always be the Potions Master to me too, I find it hard viewing him in any other way ;)

Nicely written and bittersweet... poor Severus. It wouldn't surprise me if he did suffer from ulcers towards the end.

Wow. I always wondered about if someone knew that Snape was good. He is one of my favorite characters. I think you have captured his spirit and his agony over having to kill Albus. It is a decision that I wish Rowling had fleshed out more. I am so glad that you wrote this because it really does him justice. (sorry, it's nearly 1:30 a.m. and I ramble).

Unfortunately there are too few hurt/comfort Snape fics out there. I can always trust you to write the best of those that ARE out there though! This fic is definitely going into favorites. Once again, your writing and spot on characterization of Snape blows me away. Job well done : )
