Oh good God. Wonderful. I love that you used Zell's point of view during the field exam, it certainly is a different perspective. The scene of Rinoa and Seifer, too much tension and the good kind too. Then Squall in his angsty mode perfect.

This is certainly something new. I must admit,I am a Quall fan and I was kinda dissapointed that Squall ended up

being the bad guy but even still,you did a very good job.

The dialogue made the story more interesting and so did the way you constructed your sentences.

Wow I just blazed through this today and love your twist on the FF8 world. This is a well thought out and extreamly fun story to read.

Lovely writing. I can't say much for plot since most of it follows the game, but the style is pretty good.

I'll be completely honest and admit that I came upon this fic while scouring for Qualls, so frankly I'm a little disappointed that 67928 words in, and there's only one Quall fluff scene and one implied Quall bedroom activity. This fic should be character sorted under Seifer, nothing more, nothing less. Not Quistis and Squall, despite the fact that they are "paired up"-although Squall is like a total manipulative bastard here.

Heh heh, more proof of Seifer's competence as a commander. B-Garden under Seifer is so much better prepared for the fight with G-Garden than it was under Squall, and more importantly I can completely believe the difference. Much of the difference, I believe, stems from the fact that Squall never wanted to be a leader, while Seifer's always been damn sure he's leadership material. :) Squall's reasons for starting the Lunar Cry are sympathetic, and very in character for him. Now if only his purpose weren't so scary...:D

And the gunblade duel between Seifer and Squall was an awesome scene, too. Really dragged me to the edge of my seat. Fujin's introspections were great, with both emotional depth and a comedic touch. Great chapter all around.

Wow! Amazing stuff. Love the fact that this is original, not like most other fics which are templates of good ones. Keep up the good work and updates!

I really enjoyed this chapter. I've probably been anticipating an update on this fic more than any other, to be honest, and it didn't disappoint. Your use of Fujin was excellent (love her), as was your use of Zell (although as a fervent Zell fan I must demand that you use him more!) and your descriptions of the action scenes were marvellous.

If I'm to give any constructive criticism, it'll only be that the infiltration of G-Garden part moved a little bit slowly, but apart from that it was a great chapter. And the alterations to the original story are getting evermore intriguing.

Its odd how no matter what side Squall is on, he gets attacked. *jeez* Squall is incompetent as a leader. In the end.. I hope they all die.

But that's just me. I never had any real favorite characters in FFVI. They never really explained Seifer story in the game.. and then Squall is a complete moron and gets control of B-G. *sigh*

Still, wonderful chapter.

Brilliant chapter, and only a month after the last one too :P The way you handled the garden vs garden part was wonderful; the insight into Fujin's mind flawless. I ate up every word. The chapter did raise a lot of questions at the end though. Why exactly was Squall so exhausted? And why were they so... cavalier about loosing Edea? Why do they still even care about Ellone? What exactly was their reason for attacking Esthar? You did not specify. Are you planning to address those issues in the next chapter? Or at least give stronger indications of a secret plan (if there's one) being carried out?

As things stand, the Squall and Quistis storyline is just too vague. Their relationship, the direction they're heading in, their planned course of action, the degree of influence Ultimecia has over Squall... everything. I like mysterious, but this is just too much. 7 chapters into the story and all we can say with some certainty is that they want world peace. That's it. If it's not already planned, maybe you should take a little more time to flesh out their storyline before moving on? Just a thought.

PS: It looks as if Rinoa got the sorceress powers after all? I thought you said... never mind, I'll just wait for the next chapter before making any assumptions. Update soon, if life's not keeping you too busy :D
