Ah, sweet Neville and his herbological knowledge base. When I read HP7, I start getting weepy when Harry buries Dobby, and by the time Neville pulls the sword out of the hat to save the day, I have already forgotten that I have been crying for the last twenty minutes nonstop.

As I approach the end of my own Harry/Cedric story, full of angst and eventually tragedy (I know, I'm sorry... life is angsty enough as it is, as you say, but it is the story I wanted to tell, how Harry and Cedric actually invent The Trevor Project while at Hogwarts), well I want to say that whenever anyone asks me about Harry Potter slashfic, I say to them: "two words, twistyguru". Your sense of the series, of the characters, they are just this side of St. Jo herself.

Very amusing again. I'm sticking by my theory that The Doctor/Guru is based on Tom Baker's rendition of our favourite Time Lord. Just eccentric enough to be out there but still real enough to be able to relate to.
