I must say... I'm actually quite envious of how well you were able to portray Welkin's innermost thoughts (while keeping him in character, mind you). I think I'll use your writing as a reference in the future because this piece of fiction has really inspired my writing as of... just now.

Wow... this was intense. I had always visualized something like this and wrote it out, but seeing it before you from another's perspective, and there's a world of difference. This was good. Real good. The angst. The memories. Welkin's feelings of the past and present. It's all there. I believe you could fit into this fandom quite nicely, and even if you didn't want to write more, this alone is nice addition to the VC's archive.

I'll be straight up. I HATE angst stories. This isn't my cup of tea. At all. However, I will say that if you're into that type of story this would be a great read. You know your stuff when it comes to putting words down on paper (screen?). It's really end stopped at points, but that does work well with the whole angst feel.

If you ever feel the urge, do write more for VC. Though I don't do the angst, I'm sure a lot of people would eat your stories up, and they ARE very well written. There doesn't seem to be anyone really pumping that type of story out in this fandom, and the more variety the better.

I'm kind of new to this fandom too, and you did a very, very good job. The characters seem pretty well in character to me, and I have no critique. Great job. :]

For a one-shot, this one is damn good. I could learn a few writing tricks from this one.
