airwalker999 2009-11-30 . chapter 17Meant to review earlier but life kinda creeps up on you, y'know?...
15.
Pretty good denouncement of Kigo in general; Dee really has some major issues, although I'm beginning to wonder; for all her Kigo talk, she clearly, as this chapter illustrates, has a very, very low opinion of Kim. You'd think that this would start to pop up more as Kim continues to resist all the attempts to hook her up w/ Shego...
16.
- Well, that was an interesting way to have bad cooking save the day... :-)
- At this point I'm thinking that Drakken would probably end up trying to get a court order banning Kim from the kitchen... :-)
- Dee and company in 1982... technically given that the series ended in 2007, wouldn't that have moved up the timeline a bit making an excursion to 1982 meaningless for Dee's stated purpose? Though it would be funny to imagine her freaking out to early 80s music...
- The award was to Yvj was a good one; now I'm kinda waiting for the characters to wander into a smuff based chapter or at the very least someone give out an award for a story revolving around that...
- Oh, and as long as I'm thinking about awards, let me put in a petition for Molloy's long list of Chibi-K/R stories and of course 'KP: The End'...
17.
- That was an interesting way to deal w/ the cliffhanger fight from your last chapter; literally falling off the end of a cliffhanger... funny in the most excellent way...
- The real sad thing about the whole opening argument is that technically most lairs ARE warehouses...
- Shego on Shego action... God Bless You... :-p
- “That Shego puts the bop in her own bop she-bop she-bop!” :-p
- re: Zorpox as Kim's mightest foe... technically that's exclusively in fanfiction; if memory serves, both times he shows up in the series, Zorpox never really manages to outright completely defeat Kim and see his plan through to the end... otherwise she'd have ended up in a Sheela of the Leopard People costume, groaning loudly about the fact that he probably got it at Smarty Mart, chained to a throne completely surrounded by Nacos in Princess Leia fashion, while he would cackle loudly while plotting how to use some doomsday device to leave a flaming bag of dog crap on Barkin's front porch... :-) Mostly what Zorpox has going for him is more focus and confidence w/ a completely different set of priorities...
- It was a good touch to use a Shego who is more in line w/ general continuity rather than your more tragic version. It eliminates Sasha's need for telling her off ala the message she had Kim give them in NitBC and leaves you free for any future stories you might have in mind w/ your own version of the character.
- Shego's commentary on her mom was funny; even funnier is the idea that here their relationship probably circles around Magda trying to get Shego married; the Hank Perkin's line was a perfect fit...
- Shego's reaction to Marsha's pictures was solid; I'd figure your tragic Shego would be much more emotional about it but since this is canon-lite Shego, her more subdued reaction fits well. As for Shego's knocking Sasha over Stevie, I have to wonder a little bit; she did like him in 'Stop Team Go', certainly enough that she was willing to hear him out when he showed up at the lair at the end... how much of her snark is actual dislike and how much is covering up a lot of discomfort at having not just been pleasant Ms. Go but also having really enjoyed herself?
- Sasha's counter-reaction to Shego's snark over Stevie was good; it reminds us that that the relationship in NitBC was as much a love affair as a solid marriage plus all of her emotions are all over the place because she's pregnant... Now I'm really curious to see Shego's reaction to that... :-)
- Sasha's sudden concern w/ Kim's chastity was a nice flashback to NitBC to throw in though she did spend the second half of that story pretty much throwing them a very generous blind eye; I've gotta wonder a little bit though at her trying to use logic on two people she knows are brainwashed...
- Kim's cooking objections were legitimate and funny; its less that she's a Type A and more that she's a bit impatient which just isn't a good mix when you're in the kitchen. Besides she's a Possible; if her brothers constantly blow up the garage, why shouldn't she have a kitchen to do the same to? :-)
- When you finally did get Zorpox and Sasha fighting, I think you went a little overboard w/ Zorpox, especially since this version is supposed to be Cannon-lite, not "Taming A Slave" dark. It read a bit off to me; even w/ the idea that becoming Zorpox amplified his "Ms. Go "stealing" Kim worry" from 'Stop Team Go' to the point where it would really drive him to seriously attack, it was lacking in the comic villain intention. It especially stood out given how you got Shego and Sasha to break Kim of the mind control.
- Well, I always do say that Jellin' Kim is funny to read... :-)
- Shego and Sasha's... uhm... musings... yeah, thats the ticket, once Kim is embracing Ron was made hilarious by Drakken's sudden... uh,... interruption... :-)
- It was a nice touch to have Kim at least get NitBC Kim's memories though its a kind of curious mix to have Cannon-lite Kim turned into NitBC Kim but Ron is still Cannon-lite but w/ a few NitBC memories.
- “We’ve got somebody in a lair with high tech gadgets and a low opinion of me.” Isn't that like most of Kim's Rogues Gallery w/ maybe the exception of Senior Senior Senior? :-) (I didn't include Monkeyfist because he's technically in Ron's Rogues Gallery...)
- The D/S relationship; I liked that last line on it, how it was part affection and part just pure villainous jab at freaking out the heroes. :-) This version of Shego and Drakken I can see working for a while in an off the wall kind of way; not a married couple but something a little more than friends and a lot less than normal... I've come around though to thinking that generally, the more serious and certainly more tragic versions of Shego probably wouldn't work out well w/ Drakken except on a 'we're kind of friends level cause both of us are standing against the world'. The pairing can work like it does here but it really depends on the story behind it and can kind of go either way given the type of personality that both Shego and Drakken have.
- Again, a cliffhanger ending... It would be funny if the punchline to that is the Larry/Bonnie/Rufus committee showing up to give out another award...
- Oh, and on a completely unrelated note to this story but concerning 'Ronman the Barbarian'; while writing this up I totally got a picture of Kimila and Ronman's wedding in my head. Four words that say it all: Fiddler on the Roof... :-p |
 Molloy 2009-11-30 . chapter 17A whirlwind of a chapter.
Your play with the meta-narrative tropes was again nicely done.
Interesting how you almost made the SOS and Ronnuts sympathetic. Almost.
Really liked the reunion between Kim and Sasha. Definitely, my favorite part. Would have liked it if it had been extended a few more parapgraphs. :)
However, I thought Zorpox went a bit too far firing at Sasha when he knew she was pregnant. Part of me would want to belive that would have been enough to snap Kim out of Drakimberly's control.
Although the reunion was my favorite part, the revelation was your version of Dr.D. Who would have thought that when Drakken finally defeated Kim at something it would be with the soda jinx? Very well done. |
Shockwave88 2009-11-22 . chapter 17Drakken and Kim!? Oh my god, I feel ill! And it's not because I guzzled a litre of Pepsi!

RonHeartbreaker 2009-11-21 . chapter 17A fine chapter. Love the idea of the pan-dimensional tea house. Naturally, the Euro detectives aren't going to be hanging at a donut shoppe. And you very effectively capture the essential Zorpoxitude. If unfettered by the mouse he would _definitely_ make that crack about rockin' and knockin'. And Drakken playing the jinx game was a clever little fillip.
Nice touch, btw, with flagging for the assembled that, by the end of Two to Tutor, she is showing improvement. So many authors take it for gospel that Kim can't cook, and in fact is a horrific cook, b/c of Two to Tutor. Not that folks should throw away that trope; just that everyone should remember that we _all_ have selective approaches to what we appropriate for our fics. |
EdStargazer 2009-11-19 . chapter 17A nice chapter. I am glad the whole free Kim from Drakken bit is done. Drakim is pretty gorchy. Although a few other possibilities are worse. I fear for the world in which Wade discovers the other use for the internet. (Think Ave Q. No uncovered webcam would be safe.)
I hope the dreaded Drakkimberly will be soundly defeated soon. Maybe confine her in a room with Rongo fans and Mister Sitdown while piping in Teletubbies and Barney music.
(Hm, that thought seems to be making my skin blue. Must be too evil) |
sharper1988 2009-11-19 . chapter 17Great narration with the characters, Mr. Wizard! You and Mr.Dr.P really work well together!
Also glad to see Ron back to his normal self.
I can't wait for the next chapter!
Thanks and God Bless

Comet Moon 2009-11-18 . chapter 17Sasha's Kim, but Ron's kim from the other universe that has Drakken and Shego, but not the Shego?
Stop the pain.
Ok, what did she mean part of her didn't?
Confusing but nice chapter
Look forward to more

whitem 2009-11-18 . chapter 17Oh no, not again...
Great interaction with Sasha and Shego in this one. I especially liked the reaction of Shego to Marsha. Who knew 'Mean Green' had a heart for kids?
Anyway... I just hope the next chapter isn't as whacked as the rest of the story has been. (No intense offended)
Odd... I thought this was on my Alert list... No matter, it is now! |
Sentinel103 2009-11-18 . chapter 17Wow. Now that was fun. Like the bit about the Arch Bishop of Canterberry...though the Episcopal presiding bishop is a bigger joke...And yes I know what I'm saying...
So you guys are going after another AP author next...I love it.
Thanks for the update, but I think I need something a lot stronger than a coke after this chapter.

screaming phoenix 2009-11-18 . chapter 17I can't decide what I enjoyed the most, The Shego/Sasha banter, first rate as always. The various references to "Nights in the Big City", numerous and always welcome. Or the way they got Kim's and Ron's brains unscrambled; brilliant.
“I don’t get it.” Shego shook her head. “They pull bone-headed stunts like this all the time and we love them? Are they that much fun or are we just that dumb?”
A lot of both Shego, a lot of both. |
JCS1966 2009-11-18 . chapter 17Whew! So glad to see everyone get their heads streight. Shego and Sasha knew how to push the kids' buttons, didn't they? I think Ron was acting like Drakken in that last nanosecond before Kim dunked him, heh.
But now they have one mad shipper left with a low opinion of Ron to contend with who may have launched a new offensive with that explosion. Hope they can keep it together.
Great chapter, Mr's.DrP and Wizard. Ready for more1 |
Katsumara 2009-11-18 . chapter 17Awesome chapter, Mr. Wizard. Definitely a fantastic read. I'm glad Kim and Ron were able to get over that mind-control thing and get back to themselves before it was too late.
Sasha's just awesome. Her and Shego had a nice dynamic together. Made for an interesting read for sure.
I can't wait for the next chapter. You and MrDrP do great work together. |
CajunBear73 2009-11-18 . chapter 17That was quite a romp between the Go girls and the rumble in the lair/warehouse... You make the call.
Man the back and forth between Shego and Sasha was very wild to read, imagining the whole thing as it was being read.
But for all their differences and similarities, they made good on getting Zorpy brought down, by his 'love interest' of all things, and preparing for the next assault by the AU ship-du-jour.
Another turn against someone who has a low opinion of Ron and is in possession of high tech gadgets. Ought to be explosive...!

Quathis 2009-11-18 . chapter 17Good chapter to get everyone's head back on straight. Laughed at how, even evil, Ron is loyal to KP and took a sec to realize why his girl was mad. Nice cliffy for the next chapter. |
sharper1988 2009-11-14 . chapter 16It's finally a breath of fresh air to see Kim and Ro-(oh excuse me, Zorpox) back together again.
But why did Dee mention '82? ?
Anyways, until next time
Thanks and God Bless
