Let me just say that this has to be the best Dark Angel/Supernatural crossover I've ever read. The plotline was awesome, the grammar was perfect, and the characters we all in character. Yessss! Haha, great job
Poo, it's over? I loved this 'verse, and the What Comes Around 'verse, both of them were epic amounts of insane awesomeness. If there are oneshots from either 'verse that randomly pop up I will be the happiest person ever. Regardless, this story ROCKED. I don't really know Dark Angel that well, and I loved the story anyways. Nicely done _
Loved this! This series is awesome! And I like that it was Dean and Alec that got the chance to time travel this time. I hope theres more to come, Im desperate to see how the adult Winchesters interact with Alec and Logan. :)
Great story. While I'm only a recent addition to the hordes of DA fans (gotta love internet streaming), the entire story kept so true to what I've thought of all the characters- both DA and Supernatural. The only disappointment I had was that it ended XD
This was stunning. Loved the minute differences in body language, Dean out of balance in Alex' body, Logan's attitude toward Max, Dean recognizing green light as hell - yikes - and of course, the 40 year old Winchesters arriving at the door.
Spare but luscious. I'm sorry I let this one languish so long, but what a treat to read this on a dull, dreary day.
Awesome. I really liked this story. It's all twisted up, which makes it wonderful.
I really like that Logan and Alec are friends here. We did not get to see much of Alec, but the bit we saw, especially through Logan's descriptions is great, because you managed to tell how different he is from Dean. Mr. Ackles makes his characters always different, no matter how many common traits they have. And you managed to show this here.
Logan is great throughout the story, strong, independent, smart. The relationship he has with Max is very believable. Except for a few scenes at the end of FN, this is where I saw their relationship going on the show.
THe alternate future was also interesting, 'nother different Max, possessed X's. Scary.
As for the writing itself, tenses were still off. Better than the previous one, still not entirely alright.
Thanks for writing this and sharing it, it's really a great story.
Whew! What a relief. Fun to see Logan and Alec tipping a few back together, and yay! for the Winchesters. Love a happy ending, hour-long weekly episode style.
Little concrit: There was a lot of tense switching, present and past tense and randomly used past perfects, that made the read a little choppy and distracting through all 6 chapters of this. I don't remember having noticed that in World Through Windows. If you want help cleaning it up, lemme know. :)
OHH! haha, now I feel dumb. For all my over-analyzing, I don't get the OBVIOUS stuff. Dean isn't HERE, he's using Alec as a meat suit. Which also means Logan wasn't physically in 09 either; he was using Michaels as a meat suit. OMG, I'm so dense.
Cracking up. Okay, back to the story.
HA! "transgenics were more gossipy than teenage girls"
hee hee! "Don’t get your hopes too high, future boy. Every angel I’ve ever met has been a dick."
Oh, be still my heart. Logan and Dean AND Castiel all in the same room? Dunno if I can handle that...
Literal LOL. "Logan is pretty sure that is not how you are supposed to go about summoning an angel." My geriatric beagle and my 13 month old daughter are both giving me funny looks now.
Thanks for tipping me off about this sequel! I don't know long it would have taken me to find it. :)
First of all, creepy creepy reintroduction of Lilith-girl. I don't think I mentioned it in reading World Through Windows, but her little nursery rhyme stuff is CREEPY! Very well done.
I found an interesting parallel between the demon-blood "supercharging" in the Supernatural plotline and the transgenic-blood transfers in Dark Angel.
Just curious: I think it's fun and funny to play on the "physical similarity" between Dean and Alec, but for it to be so extreme as to fool a bunch of transgenics who know Alec so well... is there more to it than coincidence-by-casting-director? Maybe some government hands-on'ing the Winchester gene pool?
Which leads me along on the bizarre tangent of finding it amusing that SPN-Jensen is the vessel of the ArchAngel Michael, but DA-Jensen is just the vessel of smart-alecky character foilness to Max, who is the vessel of ...whatever it was that her genes held that we never got to find out because of the stupid network cancellation. (Still a little bitter.) Throw Dean Winchester in the mix and maybe he's more than that.
And yeah, thanks for the Foyle explanation. :) I'm a total geek. I own it. And don't sweat it. Overanalyzing these things make it fun for me. ;)
