I have to say, this is the best writing I've read in a while. You have a great grasp of Lelouch's psychology, and a better one for the way he viewed death and we view death and how those mix...Very well done indeed. The mixture of humor almost makes some of it all the more pathetic...and makes me empathize all the more. Interesting. I'll have to try that myself, though I doubt I'd pull it off so well.

Great story! I like the idea and execution, and agree that for all Lelouche's talk of steeling his heart and moving inexorably forward...he is quite haunted by the past. I also don't recall reading another story that dealt honestly with the emotional drain of planning one's own execution. Rolo might have had less screentime, but his distrust of Suzaku was perfect. The dead are more present to him than the living, here at the end - only Nunnally seems more connected to him, and even that is a farewell.

Indeed, this is an interesting read. I liked how you spanned from when he took the throne to when he died. Of course, his hallucinations are also comforting even if they serve to take away his (already lost) sanity. I do figure that Lelouch might have been through a lot more during his final two months before the end. Yes, I agree that Euphemia and Shirley are probably the two deaths he could never get over. They are still so kind to him, but they don't understand that what might not matter to them is considerably important to Lelouch.

If only they had this in R2. This one shot is actually haunting. Coincides with the fact that C.C. herself was able to speak to Marianne so it makes sense for Lelouch to commune with those he shares an intimate familiarity with.

Anyways, this is definitely one of your best one shots yet. I love how you portrayed the different relationships Lelouch had with the people that he killed through the hallucinations. Clovis is a sweetie. I love how he speaks with flowery words. Though I'm not a big fan of Euphie or Shirley, I thoroughly enjoyed their parts with Lelouch and the kiss with Kallen! I'm glad you incorporated that in here!

This was extremely well-written and the concept was amazing and so perfect for Lelouch. Great job. :]

I gotta say, I love any Code Geass story that remembers that although Lelouch did evil things, Lelouch vi Britannia himself was more complicated and multidimensional than the evil things he did.

And I especially liked the idea of Clovis showing up make fun of him.
